If you haven’t been to Stevenson Park in Mayfield West, it’s worth a visit. It features a climbing structure, in-ground trampoline, balance balls & a slide plus half-basketball court.
Located near to the sports field for baseball, softball and soccer, this recreation area was made possible with the advocacy of the Friends of Stevenson Park and was installed in late 2020.
Fans of shaded playgrounds will be happy as this one has a large shade cloth covering the playground.

The brightly coloured playground with softfall cover features a small climbing structure with nets and balancing equipment.

The in-ground trampolines were getting a workout from kids.


The slope features large orange balance balls, a slide and a climbing rope which overlooks the playground.

There’s a pair of talk horns which are fun as kids can see each other as they talk through the pipes.

The playground overlooks a half-basketball court with plenty of seating area for those who want to sit back and watch their kids play. Bring a ball for a game or to shoot hoops.

There’s also a group swing and regular swing but no baby swing.

The blue spinning cycle is a fun addition enabling multiple kids to spin around and play.

This neighbourhood park is surrounded by grass, shady trees and new paths great for biking and scooting and there’s plenty of street parking.

There’s plenty of seating areas including sandstone blocks and covered picnic shelters. There’s also barbecue facilities if you feel like cooking up some lunch.
Address: Stevenson Avenue, Mayfield West NSW. Ignore GPS which tells you that it’s on Industrial Drive. You’ll need to access via Stevenson Avenue.

Public Toilets: There are toilets attached to kiosk which should be open to the public. Otherwise, there are public toilets in Mayfield near the Senior Citizens Centre and Mayfield Library.
