Playgroup is an informal session where mums, dads, grandparents, caregivers, children and babies meet up in a relaxed and friendly environment. Each term includes a free excursion (Parks, Fire Station or the Westpac Helicopter service) and another excursion that may require a small payment (examples are Mega-Mania, Newcastle Tram ride, Blackbutt Animal Encounter). A new ‘Play & Grow Playgroup’ is a 6-week program with access to an Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Feeding Speech Pathologist, Physiotherapist and Child Psychologist to discuss different topics of interest to families. They are offering this as a free service for families who have a child 6-18 months old at their clinic in Georgetown. Numbers are limited to 12 families.
