Good to Know
Most of these events are free and family friendly, but a few things are worth planning around. Bring a picnic blanket and cash for food trucks, as EFTPOS lines can be slow at busy events. Outdoor events in December can be cancelled or moved at short notice due to extreme heat, so check the event page on the day if temperatures are forecast to be high. For evening events like Christmas Under the Stars, arrive early to grab a spot on the grass before the sun goes down, and take advantage of free shuttle buses where they are offered rather than fighting for parking.
