Spot Santa on a Fire Truck: 2021 Santa Runs in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie & Hunter

| |

Spot Santa out and about as he travels through neighbourhoods on a fire truck on a Lolly Run spreading Christmas cheer in the lead up to Christmas Day.

Unlike last year, this year with the loosening of COVID-19 restrictions, Santa and his firefighter helpers can hand out lollies. But Santa might not be able to get up close like in previous years but will be happy to give you and your family a wave.

There are a number of participating brigades, both NSW Fire & Rescue and NSW Rural Fire Brigades. Not all stations can participate in a Santa Run as they don’t have the staff or fire truck availability.

There are some NSW Fire & Rescue stations that have a permanent crew who need to be ready to respond and can’t be involved. Those NSW Fire & Rescue stations with on-call (Retained) Brigades attached are more likely to be participating.

Here is the Fire Brigade Santa Run list for Newcastle, Lake Macquarie & Hunter, organised in date order. The article is currently being updated as events get confirmed so please note that there are a few events still yet to be confirmed for 2021. (Things do change so please double-check to see if the Santa run is still happening on the day via the individual fire brigade Facebook page).

Please note that all times are approximate due to potentially being called out to respond to calls. Check individual Facebook page for the latest updates.

If we’ve missed one, let us know via a DM on Facebook or email us. Massive thanks to all participating fire stations and to the businesses who donate lollies. It’s much appreciated and a great way to spread some much-needed Christmas cheer!
