Free, family-friendly and made for long summer evenings, Twilight Fridays returns to MAP mima from 30 October 2026 to 30 April 2027.
Every Friday from 5pm, Speers Point Park and the Multi-Arts Pavilion come together for a night out the whole family can enjoy.
The highlight for families is Kids Cube Disco. Step inside and the Cube is transformed into a vibrant dance space, with upbeat, family-friendly tracks and projections that shift, pulse and swirl in time with the music.
Children aged 5 to 12 can dance, move and play in a room unlike any other, with an adult alongside them. Afterwards, head back out to the park for a tasty treat onsite.
Outside, the park sets the scene. Bring a blanket, claim a spot under the trees and settle in for a picnic as the afternoon slides into evening. The calendar rotates, Beats and Eats so each Friday brings something different, from live music and local food to roller skates and retro vibes.
Back inside, the gallery keeps its lights on after hours. Art After Hours is a chance to wander through the exhibitions at a slower pace, away from the rush, and see the work in a different light.
Come for an hour or stay until eight. It’s free, it’s easy and it’s a great way to spend a summer Friday with family and friends.

Step inside The Fish Tank, a colourful animated underwater world in MAP mima’s 360-degree Cube.
