Send a Letter to the North Pole & Get a Reply from Santa

| |

Get in the Christmas spirit and get your kids to write a letter to Santa. If you mail it to the North Pole, Santa will write back.

A much-loved tradition, Santa Mail has connected children directly with their number one hero for years, and last year Australia Post received more than 100,000 letters destined for the North Pole.

As well as being a fun Christmas activity offered by Australia Post, it’s a great way to find out what your kids want for Christmas!

Your kids (or you helping them) just need to write a letter to Santa Claus and mail it to the North Pole. Not sure to write? Well, Santa loves hearing about what kids have been up to, their family Christmas traditions, and what’s on their wish lists.

Address your envelope to:

There’s no charge except for the cost of a 65 cent stamp. Make sure you write your return address on the back of the envelope so that Santa can write back. Please note that Santa will only reply to Australian addresses.

You can mail your Santa letter in any red street posting box or head to a participating post office and drop it into a dedicated Santa Mailbox. Letters must be posted to Santa no later than Friday 3 December for the general public.

Once sent, kids can track the letter’s journey to the North Pole using the online Santa Mail tracking tool.

There is also a large text reply option available for children who have low vision. Parents and children who have low vision can opt-in to receive a large text reply from Santa by sending their letters to:

Santa Mail (large text)

If you’re a teacher, you can get your class to write letters to Santa as he loves getting letters from school children across the country. When you’re ready to send, put your whole class’s Santa letters in one large envelope and send with the applicable postage to avoid any delays. Include your class name, school name and address on the envelope so Santa can send an extra special response to your class.

Address your envelope to:

School of Santa Mail
Dandenong, VIC 3175

Teachers, just be sure to send it in by Thursday 25 November 2021 to get a response for your class.
