Newcastle Brickfest is on again. Rainbow Bricks is excited to announce the 2021 return of Newcastle’s premier and longest-running LEGO fan event. Newcastle Brickfest is a community event created by local volunteer LEGO fans for LEGO fans.
Fans of all ages will delight in the showcase of LEGO creations and collections from across NSW on Saturday 10 July and Sunday 11 July 2021 at the Newcastle Jockey Club.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, as the NSW Government has reintroduced the 4 Square meter rule for areas outside the Greater Sydney Area, the organisers have had to postpone Newcastle Brickfest until Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 of September. Everyone who has purchased a ticket[s] will have their ticket[s] transferred to the new dates this week. If the new dates don’t work for you, you can obtain a refund via the Trybooking page and by clicking on the “Contact Event Organiser”.
Come along and see original LEGO creations and displays of LEGO themes, including the ever-popular city layout with working trains.
This year’s event will be the biggest Newcastle Brickfest ever, currently with sixty exhibitors and over two hundred tables of LEGO creations and collections.
Exhibitors are always happy to share their passion for LEGO and to answer questions you may have about their display, and talk about LEGO in general.
As well as all the exhibits, there will be lots of activities for everyone to enjoy, including appearances by cosplaying friends from Hunter Heroes and Star Wars characters.
Brickfest is a family-friendly, not for profit community event which raises money for local charities. Over the past 6 years, Newcastle Brickfest has donated $70,000 to schools and charities.
This year, the Brickfest event will be supporting the John Hunter Children’s Hospital Kids Club. The group raises funds to help purchase equipment for the hospital that is not covered by the hospital’s budget.
Enjoy the displays as well as LEGO activities:
- LEGO raffle – LEGO prizes to be won.
- Cosplay area – Have your photo taken with one of the characters or one of the backdrops.
- LEGO sales – There will be some LEGO available for purchase.
- Canteen – The Newcastle Racecourse will have its canteen open on the weekend.
