Here’s a playground that’s great for older kids who like to climb. Located in ‘The Sanctuary’ in Fletcher on Kurraka Drive past the Community Centre, it boasts a large climbing frame that’s ideal for energetic kids. It’s one of the larger climbing structures that we’ve seen.
In addition to the climbing frame, there are also spinners and swings (but no baby swings though).
However, younger kids aren’t forgotten as there is a play area just for them located next to the climbing structure.
This is a small play area covered in shade cloth. With steps, a small slide and a climbing wall, it’s ideal for younger kids especially with the soft foam flooring.
Plus for adults, there’s plenty of covered seating, a BBQ and a bubbler as well as views of the oval, surrounding hills and Hexham Wetlands. Bring a picnic or cook up some snags.
For a neighbourhood playground, it’s definitely worth a visit.
