Nestled in the suburb of Kilaben Bay is a tranquil park with stunning views of Lake Macquarie.
Kilaben Park is a beautiful lakeside park with plenty of things to do for the whole family.

The park features a playground, picnic spots, beautiful garden and a public jetty for swimming, fishing and kayaking.
The medium-sized playground includes stepping stones, spring rockers, a bridge, and a double slide.

There is a swing, toddler swing and a circular swing.

Older kids will enjoy the monkey bars and the challenge of climbing up the nets.

The playground is on woodchips and surrounded by lush grass but is unfenced.
However, it is situated back from the water’s edge.
Kilaben Park is a popular picnic spot with so many tall gum trees creating ample shade over large flat grass areas. Bring a picnic blanket or use one of the table and chair sets.

There are also four picnic tables and BBQ under a covered shelter closer to the water’s edge.

The whole park is shaded and has water views.

The public jetty is popular for swimming and fishing and kayaking. There are 2 swimming ladders along the jetty to access the water and a tap at the end of the jetty.

It has beautiful views of the sheltered Kilaben Bay, and across to Styles Point and Rathmines. After a swim, you can use the outdoor shower to rinse off.
If your family loves plants and flowers, there are beautiful gardens to explore at the top of the park.

You can follow the short walking trails into the garden and see a variety of plants and flowers which delights both kids and adults.

It’s also great for playing hide and seek.

The park is pet friendly and water bowls are provided at the public toilets and also down by the lake (next to the shower) to keep fur babies hydrated.

There is a hall at the top of the park that can be hired for parties and events.

It has a fenced area at the back of the hall which is under shelter. This is a great option for a toddler’s birthday party. Phone 4921 0333 for more information.
