If you have a sweet tooth, mark your calendar for the Festival of Sweets & Treats. It’s on Sunday, 11 October, from 9am to 3pm at The Station Newcastle.
Festival of Sweets & Treats is back, bringing together all your favourite dessert vendors plus a delicious lineup of exciting new stalls.

Hosted by Hunter Events Group, the festival is expecting more than 5,000 visitors through the Newcastle city centre for a day of dessert stalls, live entertainment and family-friendly fun. It’s a great one to add to your school holiday activities list, since it lands at the end of the October break.

With live entertainment, tasty treats around every corner, and plenty of fun for the whole family, it’s the sweetest day out that locals won’t want to miss!

Fan favourites are back, including Floss Bomb with freshly spun fairy floss, Pretty Sweet Bakes serving up an irresistible selection of cupcakes, brownies, loaded cookies, cakes in a can, strawberry cups, shakes and sweet treats, and Loaded Pretz bringing their famous giant pretzels topped with mouth-watering combinations.

There will also be some exciting new dessert experiences! The Marshmallow Co. will be serving up their crowd favourite s’mores, sundaes, hot chocolates and handcrafted marshmallows, while Hazely Dipped will tempt visitors with their signature cinnamon scroll and tiramisu, and Cookie Pie will be offering decadent cookie pies & gooey stuffed brownies.

Explore even more international sweet treats, including Portuguese-inspired pastries, cakes and tarts, Greek loukoumades, Dutch mini pancakes, Hong Kong-style egg waffle sticks, traditional tanghulu fruit sticks, bubble waffles and Asian inspired shaved ice desserts.

But it’s not just dessert. The festival will also bring together a mouth-watering mix of multicultural flavours, serving up savoury favourites including Korean fried chicken, Turkish gozleme, Greek cuisine, dumplings, bao buns, pizza, burgers, loaded fries and more.

Perfect for families, kids can enjoy jumping castles, carnival games and rides, plus free face painting and non-stop entertainment. Best of all, entry is free for anyone under 18!

Alongside the food and sweet treats, attendees can take part in hands-on cooking workshops and demonstrations throughout the day.

Whether you’re chasing your next sugar fix, discovering new flavours or enjoying a delicious day out with family and friends, the Newcastle Festival of Sweets & Treats is the ultimate destination for food lovers.
