It’s jacaranda season! You can tell that spring has arrived when our streets start turning purple. Every October and November, jacaranda trees burst into bloom across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter, transforming local suburbs into a sea of soft lilac.
If you’re looking for a fun family outing to spot the trees or the perfect photo backdrop, we’ve rounded up the best local places to see jacarandas in bloom this season. You don’t need to travel far to see jacarandas in bloom — they’re dotted all around our suburbs!
