Pack your picnic baskets and get ready to go on a jungle picnic adventure with Emma Memma and her Memma mates at Civic Theatre Newcastle on Sunday 30 August! With colourful storytelling, get-up-and-dance songs, interactive games and cheeky jungle animals, this lively show is perfect for children and the whole family.
The show is inspired by Emma Memma’s brand new album, Jungle Picnic, so don’t forget your picnic basket and your pet rock. Kids get to jump up and dance with the elephants, sing along to some genuinely catchy songs, and join in games with Emma Memma and her Memma mates throughout the performance.
The show is full of energetic dance numbers, get-up-and-dance songs and storytelling that keeps young children engaged from start to finish. It’s designed with little ones in mind, so there’s plenty of movement and not much sitting still required.
Every Emma Memma show includes an Auslan interpreter positioned side of stage, signing the music and storytelling throughout. Emma Memma and Elvin Melvin also sign as part of the performance itself, so sign language feels like a natural part of the show rather than an add-on.
