Cheese and crackers, Bluey fans! 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for the Heeler family, with a live stage show heading to Newcastle, a new stamp release, fresh merchandise drops and an extended run of the immersive Bluey’s World experience in Brisbane until February 2028.
Whether your littlies want to see Bluey in person, add to their stamp collection or redecorate their bedroom in Heeler style, here is everything happening with Bluey across Newcastle, Sydney and further afield this year.
Bluey’s Big Play is coming to Newcastle

The Heelers are heading to the Civic Theatre Newcastle for two days of live shows this September. Bluey’s Big Play is a stage adaptation of the TV series, with an original story from Bluey creator Joe Brumm and puppetry that brings Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli to life in front of a live audience.
The story follows a familiar Bluey scenario: Dad just wants some quiet time on the bean bag, but Bluey and Bingo have other plans. Expect games, songs and plenty of the imaginative play the show is known for.
Good to know:
- Where: Civic Theatre Newcastle
- When: Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, with multiple sessions across the weekend
- Running time: 50 minutes, no interval
- Tickets: From around $54.90, with a Babe in Arms option for children under 24 months
- Best age group: Preschool and early primary aged kids tend to get the most out of it, though older Bluey fans will enjoy it too.
Book directly through Civic Theatre Newcastle, and grab tickets early given the show only has a short Newcastle run.
Bluey’s Big Play in NSW
If Newcastle dates don’t suit, the show is touring extensively through NSW in September 2026, including stops in Port Macquarie, Dubbo, Tamworth, Wyong and Parramatta. Tour dates and city-by-city ticket links are listed on the official Bluey’s Big Play tour site, so it is worth checking there if you are planning a trip around a show, or want a second chance to see it if Newcastle tickets sell out.
Bluey’s World Brisbane extended to February 2028

For families planning a bigger trip, Bluey’s World in Brisbane has had its run extended again. The immersive experience has now been extended until 3 February 2028, after welcoming more than 500,000 visitors since opening.
Bluey’s World recreates the Heeler family home at Northshore, Brisbane’s newest entertainment precinct, with life-size sets of Bluey and Bingo’s bedroom, the living room, kitchen and the backyard with its Poinciana tree. The experience runs around 70 minutes, followed by access to a playground, gift shop and cafe for up to an hour afterwards.
Good to know:
- Open: Opening days are subject to operations. Monday & Tuesday CLOSED, with sessions from 9am Wednesday to Sunday. Opening hours may vary. Please check booking calendar for most up-to-date information.
- Tickets: From $44.90 off-peak, $64.90 on weekends and during school holidays.
- Babies: Tickets for children under 2 years are free of charge; please speak with event staff on arrival.
- Best age group: Preschool to early primary, though the interactive elements suit a wide range of ages
Given the length of the trip, this one works best paired with a longer Queensland getaway rather than a weekend dash. If you are considering the drive north, our Gold Coast with kids guide makes a good add-on to the itinerary.
New Bluey stamps and coins have landed
Bluey fans who collect are in luck. Australia Post released a new range of Bluey stamps in May 2026, featuring scenes and characters from the show. The range includes individual stamp packs as well as stamp and pin cover sets themed around fan-favourite episodes.
These make an easy, inexpensive gift idea, and a nice tie-in if your child is learning about the postal system or working on a school project. Stamps and collectables are available through the Australia Post Collectables website and in participating post offices while stocks last.
Alongside the stamps, the Royal Australian Mint has also released a 2026 Bluey coin collection, produced in partnership with BBC Studios and Australia Post. The collection features $2 coins based on five popular episodes, including Rain, Sleepytime, Camping, Baby Race and Granny Mobile, and is available as a folder and coin set, individually packaged coins, and coloured proof versions in bronze or silver.
Two of the coloured $2 coins have also been released into general circulation, so there is a genuine chance of finding one in your change at a participating Australia Post store, roughly a 1 in 10 chance with each folder purchase. Earlier Bluey coin releases, including the original Bluey Dollarbucks and the 2025 Christmas collection, sold out quickly and are now largely only available through third-party coin dealers, so if a new release catches your eye, it is worth acting fast rather than waiting.
Free printables and colouring sheets
The official Bluey website has a Make section with free downloadable activities, including colouring sheets tied to occasions like Father’s Day, alongside other craft and activity printables. It is a handy one to bookmark for wet weather days, long car trips or a quiet activity during the school holidays, and it costs nothing.
Plan a Bluey-themed birthday party
Birthdays get their own dedicated hub on the official Bluey site, with goodie bag ideas, party games, balloon crafts and cake decorating tips aimed at helping parents pull together a Bluey celebration without starting from scratch. It is a good starting point if you are planning a party and want inspiration for games and decorations before you start shopping.
For the shopping side of things, Bluey party supplies including plates, balloons, banners and cake decorating kits are widely stocked at Kmart, Big W, Target and Spotlight, and tend to sell out fast in the lead-up to school holiday periods, so it pays to shop early.
LEGO Bluey
LEGO has released a Bluey range, with sets based on the Heeler family home and familiar scenes from the show. It is aimed at younger builders and pairs well with existing Bluey figurine collections. The full range is listed on the official Bluey LEGO page, and sets are also stocked through major toy retailers and LEGO stores.
Where to find Bluey merch and clothing
Bluey merchandise pops up in some unexpected places, and Bunnings is one of the more popular ones with families. Bunnings regularly runs Bluey ranges through its kids’ Hammerbarn collection, with items like drink bottles, lunch bags, hi-vis vests and seasonal pieces such as inflatables and Santa gnomes around Christmas.
Bunnings also publishes a handful of Bluey-themed DIY guides, including step by step instructions for recreating Bluey and Bingo’s bedroom window and simple craft projects like the Flappy the Butterfly activity. These are worth bookmarking for a rainy school holiday afternoon.
For Bluey clothing, Cotton On Kids, Target, Kmart, Best&Less and David Jones all carry Bluey ranges, from everyday t-shirts and pyjamas through to occasion wear, with David Jones typically stocking a slightly more premium range than the others. New clothing drops tend to line up with the start of each school term and the runup to Christmas.
Beyond clothing, Bluey merchandise is widely available across major retailers including Kmart, Big W and Target, with new ranges typically dropping ahead of Christmas and the start of each school year.
