The Best 2025 Sydney Easter Events to Enjoy With Kids!

Get ready for Easter and plan to attend an Easter event in Sydney with your kids. While there are Easter events happening locally around Newcastle, we wanted to put together a guide of events and activities in Sydney and beyond to attend. Make the most of the Easter long weekend and enjoy a family Easter escape.

There’s tons of fun Easter events in Sydney to enjoy including the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Easter high teas, Easter egg hunts, Easter train rides and other Easter shows. Some of these ticketed events sell out fast so get your tickets now.

Sydney Royal Easter Show

Cost:Online ticket price is $48 for adults, $29.50 for children and $36 for concession. A family pass (four tickets) is $138.

Why you should go: Australia’s biggest celebration of the country, the Sydney Royal Easter Show is back for 2025 with tickets on sale now. Although the show is described as an agricultural show, it’s much more than that. It’s a celebration of rural and agricultural industry dating back to 1823 and includes animal displays, award-winning produce and crafts.

Some of our favourites include the Farmyard Nursery with over 500 free-range animals you can pat, the Animal Walk where you head in and out of pavilions, to see all the Sydney Royal award-winning animals and farmyard and Food Farm teaches kids everything they need to know about food and fibre, paddock to plate and the importance of our farmers. Easter Egg Hunt At Golden Ridge Animal Farm

Why you should go: The 2025 Easter Egg Hunt is back with bookings open now. Let your kids experience the fun of an Easter Egg Hunt at a hands-on and interactive farm in Dural. Kids will first get to milk the cow, cuddle little chicks, ducklings and bunnies and decorate an Easter mask. It’s then onto the main event of an indoor Easter Egg Hunt. Kids will need to search for hidden plastic Easter eggs.

Why you should go: For a day of fun, head to The Ingenia Holiday Parks Sydney Family Show. It is held at the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park. There’s heaps of fun for you and kids to enjoy including a bunny hopping competition, reptile show, live stage shows, traditional carnival games, show bags, and the cuddliest of little friends in the animal nursery,

The Ingenia Holiday Parks Family Show offers a myriad of activities for all ages, including the Motorcycle and Bike Stunt Show, Reptile Show and dynamic stage performances running daily. Time your visit with a Paw Patrol show or meet Bluey and Bingo.

This year, book your kids in for the Easter Basket Zone where kids will collect goodies from within a white picket fenced area. It’s $15 per child and includes the Easter Egg basket, access to the zone and goodies. 

Fairfield Easter Show

Why you should go: Celebrate Easter at the Fairfield Easter Show. There’s no shortage of fun planned for the Fairfield Easter show including rides, showbags, entertainment, circus shows, pig racing, animal nursery, and nightly 8:30pm fireworks. All this plus an Easter Egg Hunt! On Kids Day on 17 April, all kids rides $2 each + first 500 kids get a FREE plush toy!

Easter Celebrations at Hunter Valley Gardens

Why you should go: Take part in the Hunter Valley’s largest Easter Egg Hunt at Hunter Valley Gardens during the Easter Long Weekend. Join Hunter Valley Gardens for a weekend of fun, including Easter activities, spectacular rides and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Every child will receive an Easter chocolate at the completion of the Giant Easter Hunt. Plus, there’s also a Golden Egg Hunt to win a Family Annual Pass!

The Hunts will be conducted on Friday 18, Saturday 19, Sunday 20 and Monday 21 April, with 2 sessions on Friday and Monday and 3 sessions on Saturday and Sunday, with the 10am session dedicated to children under 6 years of age only. Every child that takes part in the Easter Egg Hunt receives an Easter chocolate. Tickets for the Easter Egg Hunt are $2 per hunt/per child and must be purchased online with any family pass (as an add on at checkout).

The Hills Easter Show

Aussie Night Markets presents The Hills Easter Show, 4 days of all the foods, desserts and retail stalls you know and love plus an amazing line up of entertainment. The show includes kids rides and jumping castles, carnival games, market and craft stalls, petting zoo, face painting, showbags, pony and horse rides, award-winning comedian Joel Ozborn and American Illusionist Erika Vanlee as well as lots more entertainment.

Easter Bunny Express at Zig Zag Railway

Glenworth Valley’s Giant Easter Egg Hunt 2025

Why you should go: Glenworth Valley is the backdrop of Sydney’s biggest Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday. Organise a group of your friends and family and search for over 25,000 chocolate eggs scattered among Glenworth Valley’s magical wilderness. Pack your best Easter costumes, hats & bags and share in a magical morning filled with fun and laughter as baskets are piled high with chocolate and the Easter cheer is spread. There’s a brand new hunt area this year – exclusively for little ones aged 3-7. Plus a section for 8-14 year old’s. And with an extra-large chocolate delivery from the Easter Bunny on its way, there’s 15 eggs ready for each child.

Easter Sunday at Jamberoo

Why you should go: Make a weekend of it and head south to Jamberoo water-theme park in Wollongong for some Easter fun. This season, they will continue the trend of recent years with individually prepared bags of chocolate Easter eggs being handed out to all children aged 4-12 years when they enter the park. This helps with safety measures, adds a personal touch and a photo opportunity, and means all children will get their own special bag of eggs.

Be early! From 10 – 11am the Easter Bunny and Sammy the Shark will start handing out the eggs and they will be available for photos near the park entrance – so bring your camera and share the fun with #jamberooactionpark on Facebook and Instagram. 

There will also be an Easter Hamper Guessing Competition, and other competitions and giveaways around Outback Bay all day long! They recommend that tickets be bought online (to save time and money), but they can be bought at the gate with ticket booths opening at 10.00am – or slightly earlier. They recommend all guests* to be ready to come in by 9.45am.
