Check out the playground at Webb Park at Redhead Beach in Lake Macquarie. It’s pretty cool and has a surf beach theme to complement its beachside location.

The largest equipment in the park is the large wave climbing structure which kids can climb up and then slide down.

There is also a small play structure suitable for younger kids which has slides and a climbing wall.

The flying fox at this playground is really popular and is bookended by two blue surfboards, keeping with the beach theme.

There are two swings (baby and toddler).

Check out the wobbly surfboard below. Kids will love balancing on it.

There is also a dolphin-themed rocker near the play structure.

Nearby is the barbecue so you can cook up some lunch or dinner while keeping an eye on kids. Also plenty of grass for kids to run around or kick a ball.

This beautiful leafy playground is great for a play before or after a visit to the beach. You can also combine it with a visit to the Redhead pump track.

There’s also the Ken & Audrey Owens Walkway which starts from the playground. It’s a pleasant stroll through the trees to Redhead beach.
