Want to try out a different playground with your kids? The playground at Tourle Street Reserve in Mayfield West was replaced in 2019 and it’s fantastic.
With more challenging play equipment than your average playground, we’re recommending this park for those with kids 5+.

There’s advanced obstacles including climbing walls, toadstools, a wobbly metal bridge high off the ground and two slides.

There’s also swings (including a toddler swing), a wobbly and a spinning structure.
The park is cushioned with bark chips and a local mum we met at the park recommended closed-shoes for kids. Her daughter received a cut on her foot from a sharp edged bark chip while wearing sandals on one visit. Also beware of the mosquitoes around this park so bring the mozzie spray.
It’s one of the highest parks we’ve been to with northerly views overlooking industrial Mayfield and beyond. The park is accessible via Shelley Close. You can also park on Bull Street and walk down but watch out for mozzies in the bushes.
