You’re Kidding Me Family Expo is back for 2025!
Talks with child development experts, superhero appearances and reptile shows are just some of what’s on offer at this year’s You’re Kidding Me Expo, a free family expo presented by Lake Macquarie City Council.
The weeklong event at Charlestown Square connects families with local services, helping parents understand child development and explore childcare options and resources.
The 2025 You’re Kidding Me Expo runs from Monday 2 June – Friday 6 June at Charlestown Square, Centre Court, Level 1, in front of Myer from 9am to 1pm.
Each day will feature different activities and service providers. The Expo brings together children and family services from all around Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Region including a paediatric nurse, speech therapists, child development experts, and psychologists.
Parents and carers can chat with experts and support services while their little ones engage in interactive activities.
Monday is baby day! Come along on Monday to find all things baby including Australian breastfeeding Association, The Sick Sense, YouBirth, Itti Bitti and many other services aimed at expectant or new parents.
Newy with Kids will be at You’re Kidding Me Expo on Wednesday 4 & Thursday 5 June, so come and say hello! We’ll have some goodies to give to you and your child.
We’ve been a regular attendee at the You’re Kidding Me Expo since it started in 2013 so we know first-hand how this valuble event connects families to local resources.
Bring your kids as there will be a free 10am show daily including characters, Wetlands on Wheels and my pet dino show.
Discover the variety of programs, resources and services that parents and families can access in Lake Macquarie and drop in for a day or more at the You’re Kidding Me Expo.
