Harvest Festival: A Weekend of Fun at Local Farms in the Central Coast Hinterland

Take a farm tour, feed adorable farm animals, pick your own pecans, mandarins and oranges, give archery a go, enjoy CWA scones, and learn all about platypuses!

These are just a few of the family-friendly experiences waiting for you at the Harvest Festival presented by Central Coast Council.

It’s on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June 2025 across the picturesque Central Coast hinterland.

The Harvest Festival offers the opportunity to explore and experience fresh produce, arts, music, artisan markets and adventure through a range of dedicated event hubs. 

There are 30+ event experiences open throughout the weekend, offering a wide mix of food, music, nature, art, and farm experiences.

Pick your own experienceOur local farm gates are opening their orchards to the public this long weekend for Harvest Festival so you can enjoy picking your own fruit, flowers and nuts in the orchards! 

Rural farm gate experiences Explore the region’s rural farms, feed the animals and experience a behind the scenes glimpse at what working life is like.

Music & dancing experiences –  The Harvest Festival isn’t all about food, there will be plenty of toe tapping live music from local artists and dancing to enjoy as you travel around the Central Coast hinterland. 

Food & beverage experiences – Taste the produce of the Central Coast enjoying the region’s finest ingredients as you eat and drink your way around the Harvest Festival. 

Tours, workshops and educational experiences Enjoy a range of guided tours, educational talks and creative workshops while you explore the hinterland region this June long weekend at the Harvest Festival. 

Open days During the Harvest Festival, our farms and community will hold open days inviting you to come and take a look around.  Enjoy an exciting range of activities and memorable experiences on your Harvest Festival journey. 

Nursery experiences The region’s local nurseries are full of native and organic flowers, unique succulents, rare plants and will be offering the public a range of workshops and guided tours this Harvest Festival weekend. 

Community hubs Throughout the Harvest Festival, there are designated Community Hubs where you can engage with the locals as you explore the Harvest Festival this June Long Weeken

From paddock to plate dining experiences and whiskey tastings, to produce picking, arts and craft fairs and hands-on workshops, there is something to delight every taste and interest.

Some events are free, while others have a small entry fee or require a ticket. As dates, times, and availability vary, visitors are encouraged to check the program and book early to secure their preferred experiences.

Good to Know

Date: Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June 2025

Location: Harvest Festival will take place at different hubs including Mangrove Mountain – Peats Ridge, Somersby – Calga, Spencer, Jilliby – Dooralong, Yarramalong –  Kulnura and Wyong –  Wyong Creek

Cost: Variety of free and paid events and activities. For some activities, bookings are essential.

Book and plan ahead: Be sure to book ahead to avoid missing out, as popular experiences may fill quickly. Some areas have limited mobile reception, so it’s a good idea to plan your route and download any necessary information before you set off.

Drive safely: Please drive carefully throughout the festival weekend. Some roads around event hubs may experience higher traffic volumes, so allow extra travel time and follow all speed limits. Parking is available at each location.

Be prepared for all weather: Harvest Festival will go ahead rain or shine. In the event of wet weather, check the official Harvest Festival Facebook page or tune in to Star FM 104.5 for the latest updates.

Bring cash: Many hubs are located on farms or remote properties where EFTPOS access may be limited. To make the most of the festival and support local producers, please bring cash.
