Get your Santa hats ready, because Newcastle Permanent’s Christmas Under the Stars is back!
On Saturday 13 December, families are invited to King Edward Park for an evening packed with festive fun, free children’s activities, and for parents game to stay up a little late, a special screening of Elf (2003, PG) under the stars.
Starting at 5pm, the night kicks off with live Christmas carols, continuing the beloved tradition at King Edward Park. These festive tunes will have the whole family singing along – setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.
And the fun doesn’t stop there – kids will have loads of free activities to enjoy throughout the evening.
They can get creative at the arts and crafts area, or for those with lots of energy to burn before the movie, there’s lawn games and face painting to get everyone into the holiday spirit.
Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa, who’ll be dropping by in his sleigh for photos – so don’t forget your Christmas wish list!
When the sun goes down, the big screen will light up with the holiday classic Elf (2003, PG) under the stars. Get comfy with your family and enjoy free popcorn while you laugh along with Buddy’s wild adventures in New York City.
Whether it’s your first time watching or your 100th, there’s nothing like enjoying this fun-filled film surrounded by family and friends.
Hungry kids? You’ve got options! Pack a picnic with all their favourites, or if you’d rather skip the prep, grab something delicious from the food trucks on site.
And to make getting there stress-free, a free shuttle bus service will be available, operating between 4pm-11.59pm from Bar Beach Car Park to King Edward Park – doing continuous loops every 10-15 minutes.
