The Levee Maitland is going all out this year for Christmas! The holiday spirit will shine bright in Maitland this year with a calendar full of fun and festive spirit right across the city.
From free Santa photos, a Christmas market and store displays – there’s plenty to do with loved ones this year.
Free photos with Santa
Remember Christmas 2025 with a picture with Santa in his living room. Look for the giant red present tied with a green bow at The Riverlink, where you’ll find Santa.
Meet Santa and grab your family Christmas photo at The Riverlink to bring in the Christmas cheer this festive season.
Santa is at The Levee from Thursday 27 November until Saturday 20 December. Sessions times are Thursdays 3pm to 7.30pm, Fridays and Saturdays 9am to 1.30pm.
Once you have arrived during session times, simply scan the QR code and join the digital queue. You will get a text message when it’s nearly your turn. Your photos will be emailed to you within three business days.
This year, The Levee is introducing two sessions that will require bookings – a pet friendly session on Tuesday 16 December from 3pm – 7.30pm and our final session on Saturday 20 December from 9am – 1.30pm. For just $15 this premium service means no long waits which often occur with our digital queue system.
Bookings for these sessions will become available mid-November. All proceeds from the pet friendly session will be donated to Hunter Wildlife Rescue.
Christmas Display Competition
Explore The Levee and check out the fantastic windowfront Christmas displays from 27 November through December 21. Cast your vote for your favourite display by scanning the QR code displayed in the windows or by clicking the link below and you could win a $300 voucher to The Levee business of your choice! Simply scan the QR code in the window and pick your favourite store.
Christmas Market
And if you’re still searching for that perfect gift, make plans to visit the Christmas fair. On Saturday 13 December, A Merry Little Christmas mini market will take over The Levee precinct from 10am to 2pm.
A Merry Little Christmas is a village fair with a select range of market stalls from the local region. You’ll also find Santa as well as produce, beverages, decorations and gift stalls.
Bring the whole family for a great day at The Levee. Take the chance to get all your Christmas shopping done or visit one your favourite cafes or bars.
Santa’s Post Box
If you can’t meet Santa at The Levee, this Christmas, maybe you can send him a letter? This year, Santa’s mail service is coming to The Levee. Located next to the big red present at The Riverlink, Santa’s mailbox will be operating from Tuesday 12 November to Saturday 20 December. This is to ensure his return letter will arrive before Christmas.
