If you’re planning a regional or interstate trip this year, get the Australian Adventure Passport. It’s a fun way to document your travels and get kids collecting passport stamps.
Our friends at Newcastle Visitor Information Centre recently told us about this new program. Published by Rothwell Publishing, the Australian Adventure Passport has been created to encourage travellers to enjoy and explore the many destinations Australia has to offer.
You can collect stamps and memories as you travel around both locally and also within Australia.
It’s great for kids, families, tourists and even Grey Nomads to purchase to record their travels.
You can purchase the 32-page passport for $10 from the Visitor Information Centre and you can also get it stamped there.
Just like a real passport, there are lots of blank pages to be stamped. There are also fascinating facts about Australia, travel games, Aussie word search and a spotto list.
It’s a cute gift or stocking stuffer for kids who like to travel.
Some tourist spots which are registered with the Australian Adventure Passport program include:
- Australian Reptile Park
- Koala Hospital Port Macquarie
- Luna Park
- Mogo Zoo
- Old Dubbo Gaol
- Questacon
- Wellington Caves
To see a current list of participating attractions and visitor information centres, check out the NSW list. Australian Adventure Passport is working on adding more stamping destinations, so please check for updates.
The Visitor Information Centre also recommends that families present the passport wherever they go and if the businesses have a stamp they can stamp the passport whether they are registered or not.
