Add Your House to the Newy with Kids 2025 Christmas Lights Trail

Tis the season to decorate your house or front yard with Christmas decorations and lights. To spread joy, Newy with Kids is encouraging people to decorate their homes so that we can create a trail of Christmas lights in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens to celebrate Christmas 2025.

We want to put together a massive list of homes that are decorated with Christmas lights. This is by far, our favourite Christmas article to put together each year.

Driving around and spotting Christmas lights is a holiday tradition for many local families and we greatly appreciate the efforts of those who create Christmas displays for all of us to enjoy, especially those raising money for charities.

Start putting up those Christmas lights and decorations and get together with your neighbours to create streets full of beautiful Christmas displays. Whether you just want to put a few strings of lights out or go all out OTT and really let it shine, that’s your choice.

Once you’ve decorated your house, fill in the form below or email us and let us know.

(If you’re not decorating your house this year but have noticed a house in your neighbourhood that’s decorated, fill in the form too)

From these entries, we’ll create a list of houses as well as a map so you can enjoy some neighbourhood walks or drives with your kids or grandkids.

Once you submit your house, we’ll add it to our Christmas Lights list (usually the same day).

🎄 🎅🏼 Make sure that you don’t miss any of the other fun and family-friendly Christmas events and activities in Newcastle and the Hunter, visit the Newy with Kids Guide to Christmas.
