Spanning three vibrant days, the Newcastle Show draws audiences from across the region, inviting all to celebrate the unique blend of country and city life.
There will always be something happening! From equestrian events, wood chopping, the Hot Wheels Stunt Show, camel races, epic fire performances, and more. Stick around on Friday and Saturday to see the spectacular fireworks display.

From farm animals to reptiles, the Newcastle Show is a place for all ages to learn, with both educational and hands-on experiences. Camel races and Noah’s pig races will delight and entertain alongside traditional agricultural animal encounters.

Tradition meets innovation with brand new carnival rides and games, the hottest showbags and a unique selection of food vendors.

A ‘quiet’ space provided by Aruma, will be a tranquil space for those seeking respite from the excitement. This will be located under the grandstand.

This year’s Show will be bigger and better than ever with exhibitions, displays (including the Back to the Future Delorean!) and entertainment included with entry.

- Fireworks Spectacular – Lighting up the night sky on Friday and Saturday at 9 pm, a spectacular fireworks display promises to be a dazzling finale to each day of the show.
- Arts and Crafts Competitions – Unleash your creativity and participate in the Arts and Crafts Competitions, where local talent shines through in a variety of artistic expressions.
- Community Stage – The Community Stage is the heart of local talent, featuring performances, displays, and demonstrations from community groups, artists, and performers.
- Fireworks Spectacular – Lighting up the night sky on Friday and Saturday at 9 pm, a spectacular fireworks display promises to be a dazzling finale to each day of the show.

This year’s Show will be bigger and better than ever, with all exhibitions and main stage entertainment included with entry.
Up and coming funk and jazz band ROOM 104 kicks off at 3:00pm Friday followed by music icons Love That Hat later that night. Solo country artist Jemma Beach, a Top 10 Star Maker finalist at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, opens on Saturday for one of Australia’s favourite country-rock acts, The Viper Creek Band.
If you’re after a show bag, there’s plenty to choose from. There will be tons of varieties of licensed and generic showbags to choose from.

Getting to 2025 Newcastle Show
If you plan on driving to Newcastle Show, there is parking available onsite for an additional cost.
You can also use Newcastle Transport to get to Newcastle Show by train or bus.
Newcastle Showground is just across from Broadmeadow Railway Station. Broadmeadow Station is serviced by the Central Coast and Hunter lines. The Showground entry from Brown Road or Curley Road gates is only a 200m walk from the Brown Road exit.
If you’re coming by bus, there are a few options.If you are travelling from Mount Hutton, Charlestown or Adamstown, the Route 28 stops directly out the front Broadmeadow Station. Hop off at Broadmeadow Station, Graham Road and the Showground is only a 350m (4 minute) walk to the Brown Road or Curley Road gates, via the underpass.
There are 3 bus routes terminating at Broadmeadow Station which can be used to get to the Showground. These are route 21 coming from Newcastle East, route 25 coming from Charlestown and route 27 coming from Wallsend. The Showground is only a 450m (6 minute) walk to the Brown Road or Curley Road gates, via the underpass.
If you are travelling from Maryland, Wallsend, Jesmond or Merewether, the Route 12 stops adjacent to Newcastle Showground. Hop off at Chatham Rd at Donald St. It’s a 450m (6 minute) walk to the Brown Road or Curley Road gates.
The route 13 (Glendale to Newcastle CBD, via Cardiff), route 23 (Wallsend to Marketown, via Lambton and Jesmond) and route 26 (Wallsend to Marketown, via Kotara) travel along Lambton Road. Hop off at Lambton Road at Curley Road and the Showground is approximately a 15 minute walk via Broadmeadow Station to the entry gates on Brown Road or Curley Road.
