Have you used your NSW Creative Kids Voucher for 2020? If not, use your $100 voucher & order an art pack or craft kit that your children can use at home.
Each year, parents, guardians and carers can apply for a Creative Kids Program voucher with a value of up to $100 per calendar year for each student aged 4.5 to 18 years old enrolled in school. In usual times, the NSW Creative Kids Rebate can be put towards the cost of registration, participation or tuition fees for creative and cultural activities such as music lessons, language classes, coding and digital, visual and performing arts with registered activity providers.
Due to COVID-19, Service NSW is enabling families to use it to purchase arts and craft kits from registered providers. The Creative Kids program allows vouchers to be used for arts and craft supplies that include an instructional program/lesson plan to guide children or young people on how to complete an activity or develop creative skills. These kits will be great to use in the school holidays or in the lead up to Christmas when kids want to make homemade creative presents.
The following are registered providers for NSW Creative Kids and offer craft kits and /or online classes that you can do at home.
Art Mania Studio
Art Mania Studio in Wallsend has created three video workshops for kids with art kits so that you can create works of art at home, following the instructions on the video. The video workshop prices include 1 Art Kit. The following ones are particularly for children: Animal Suncatcher, Mandalas and Portrait Drawing. For $100 Creative Kids Rebare per child, you order the 3 free video workshops, includes postage. If your kids prefer to do their own art, you can instead purchase the Art Pack using your $100 Creative Kids Rebate with postage included. It includes paints, sketching pencils, canvas and sketch pad and mosaic materials.
Local craft supply company CleverPatch are now a registered Creative Kids supplier and have a variety of kids craft packs that you can order. These include Modelling, Papercraft, Tie Die, Weaving and Marbling. Each kit comes with materials and instructions including an activity Booklet with step-by-step guides on how to complete each activity, templates to assist with completing the activities, videos showing you different tips and techniques when working with each of the craft kits. As these kits are more than $100, you’ll need to pay the difference. The kits range from $132 to $190.
Charlie Boots offers a range of craft kits with free delivery costing $100 so parents don’t need to spend anymore. They cater to a range of ages with kits for 5 – 7 year olds, 8 – 12 year olds and kits for ages 13+. Choose from a variety of kits including wooden models, STEM kits and paints and markers delivered to your door.
Craft Nation is a kids craft store dedicated to providing your child with exciting hands-on craft. Our kids craft activity sets are not only fun and full of environmentally sustainable and safe products, but come with educational booklets to teach kids about different countries of the world including China, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Norway and Russia. Create Hub Riverina
Create Hub based in Wagga Wagga enables you to customise your art kit. They have eight different kits to choose from such as the Junior Journal Kit, Card Making Kit, Tween Journal Kit, Glam Picture Frame Kit and more. You can choose kits to the value of the Creative Kids Voucher (generally 3 or 4 kits) and postage can be included using the voucher too.

Georgina Hart Gallery and Studio in Seaforth offers three NSW Creative Kids Voucher kits: Drawing Wizard Kit, Combo Kit and the the Full Monty Kit. The Full Monty Kit includes two on-line tutorials showing kids how to paint a beach scene with acrylics and how to paint a sunset using watercolours. Georgina takes kids step by step through the process. The kit includes all the materials required to paint these two masterpieces with Georgina. Kits cost $100 each.
Hola Nanu in Sydney offers a range of kits containing products to encourage children’s imagination, creativity and curiosity. These kits include Construction Zone, Dino World, Diggers and Trucks, Fun Bundle, Planet Love and Sensory Bundle. Kits cost $100 each with shipping costing extra.
Use your $100 Creative Kids Voucher to buy one of the Create at Home Boxes from Imprint Mastery in Kurrajong Heights Each Create at Home box contains everything your child needs to get creative at home. Choose from Brush Lettering Kit, Advanced Watercolours Kit, Tiny Artists Kit and Advanced Acrylic Paints Kit.
Kate’s Creations based in Newcastle can accept Creative Kids vouchers on all DIY craft kits. Choose from a variety of kits including a fairy garden kit, suncatcher kit, greeting card kit, jewellery kits, unicorn horn headband and lots more fun crafty kits. It’s a great opportunity to let kids find their passion and learn new skills.
Life of Colour
Life of Colour offers a range of Creative Kids Voucher kits, all of which are $100 so you won’t need to pay anything more. You’ll just need to add Creative Kids voucher number when you make your purchase. These kits were created in collaboration with a NSW early learning educator. Each of them comes with a fun activity sheet that will teach the kids new skills. The art supplies can be later reused for more educational creative fun. Kits include Story Stones and Hanging Mobile Kit, Library Bag and Card Making Kit, All About Rock Painting and Watercolour Flair.
Luna and Co Designs Creative
Luna and Co Designs Creative on the Central Coast offers a Creative Kids DIY Gold Art Pack. This contains five activities that are all substantial in size, and are fun, creative and will keep the kids busy for longer. Activities include air dry clay creations, decorate your own library bag, polymer clay kit and more. Shipping is free or you can pick up from either Kariong or Point Clare. They also have a Sensory Creative Kids DIY Craft Pack and a Teen Creative Kids Polymer DIY Pack.
Mess it Up
Mess it Up in Currans Hill in Sydney is offering a Take Home Kit ($100) full of art and craft supplies to help your child express themselves through art. This kit come with an instructional lesson plan and access to Miss Deonie, an art teacher for almost 15 years via email. She is available to assist with any questions you or your child may have as they work their way through the provided lesson. Currently sold out but kits are available for preorder and available in late November.
The Seed Creative
The Seed Creative in Port Macquarie have an extensive range of art kits to redeem for the Creative Kids Voucher. These include acyclic painting, watercolour art, polymer clay, resin jeweller, and mixed media art. The kits each cost $100 and shipping is extra.
Seraphic Creations in North Rocks have put together a Creative Kids kit with enough supplies to keep kids busy for months. It includes pencils, acrylic paint set, canvas boards, brushes and more. The kit costs $100 so it’s free with your Creative Kids Voucher. You’ll just need to pay for shipping or do local pickup.
Splash on Peel
Splash on Peel located in Tamworth have put together a range of art kits. They include a Mega Art Kit, Mega Sketch Kit and Mega Paint Pour & Draw Kits. These are packed full of art supplies so kids can get creative and make lots of different art works. The kits are priced at $100 and you’ll have to pay the freight charge of $18.50.
Thinking Artz in The Hills district of Sydney offers a range of art kits. These include Budding Artist’s Pack, Tip and Pour Pack, Drawing Pack, Watercolour Pack and a Write and Design Pack. All kits come with original lessons and creative ideas written by experienced teachers, Sandra and Paula. Each pack costs $100, postage is free so you can use your Creative Kids Voucher and pay nothing.
How can I claim my NSW Creative Kids Rebate?
It’s quick and easy to claim a voucher. Creative Kids vouchers are available via the Service NSW website or you can go into your Service Centre and staff will assist you at the self-service kiosks. The vouchers can be redeemed with a participating provider at any time during the calendar year it was issued. The vouchers are valid for each calendar year so 2020 voucher will expire on 31 December 2020 but you can apply for the 2021 Creative Kids Voucher from 1 January 2021.
If you’re not sure if you’ve used your Creative Kid Voucher for 2020, log onto Service NSW and look on the Dashboard screen under My Applications. If you’ve applied for Creative Kids and Active Kids, it will show there. Click in Applications to see your online applications and if a voucher has been redeemed.
