$50 Stay NSW Voucher: When Can You Apply? It Depends on Your LGA

| |

Stay NSW, a new $50 NSW Government voucher scheme has been introduced to support accommodation providers in NSW impacted by COVID-19 but not everyone can apply just yet.

Wondering when you can apply for the Stay NSW voucher? That depends on your LGA. From 21 February, the Stay NSW Vouchers are being released by Local Government Area (LGA) over a 2-week period.

NSW residents aged 18 and over can apply for 1 x $50 voucher to use towards the cost of accommodation bookings. The vouchers can be accessed via the Service NSW app or website.

NSW residents aged 18 and over will need to check their address on Service NSW before applying for the vouchers. By early March, the vouchers will be available across the state. Check the list of Local Government Areas to find out when you can apply for the voucher.

We’ve checked the regions closest to us and found the dates for each LGA:

  • Central Coast LGA – 23 February 2022
  • Cessnock LGA – 2 March 2022
  • Lake Macquarie LGA – 23 February 2022
  • Maitland – 2 March 2022
  • Newcastle LGA – 2 March 2022
  • Port Stephens LGA – 2 March 2022
  • Singleton LGA – 2 March 2022

We tried entering our Newcastle LGA address and were advised “Your address is not eligible yet” but a friend in Lake Macquarie downloaded her Stay NSW voucher easily.

Once your LGA is eligible, NSW residents aged 18 and over can apply for 1 x $50 voucher to use towards the cost of accommodation bookings. The vouchers can be accessed via the Service NSW app or website.
