If you’re camping, have an RV or happy to stay in a cabin, there’s council-run holiday parks at Belmont, Swansea, Blacksmiths and Wangi Wangi. Visit Lake Mac Holiday Parks for more information.
If you don’t mind a longer trip in and want to save on accommodation costs, book a place in the Maitland area. You can either drive in or catch the train directly to Newcastle Interchange in Wickham. From there, catch a bus or walk to the race precinct. Accommdation includes Mercure Maitland Monte Pio, Quest Maitland, Molly Morgan Motor Inn and the Best Western Endeavour Motel.
