If your family loves memes, you are going to love the board game Bubble Talk.
It’s a super fun game that you can play with your friends and family. Just be ready for lots of laughs.
The game consists of 75 double-sided picture cards and 300 caption cards.
To play the game, you’ll need at least 2 players and 1 judge.
Each player gets 7 of the caption cards which they can look at, but they keep hidden from other players.
The judge then selects a picture card and players have to choose the funniest caption they think suits the photo.
This is when the big laughs happen. The picture card and captions can lead to some amusing combinations. After the laughter dies down, the judge selects the best caption for the photo.
The player whose card it is wins the round and receives the picture card. Once the player wins five cards, they win the game.
The great thing about Bubble Talk is that you can play it again and again without getting bored. As there are infinite combinations of picture cards and captions, there are numerous opportunities for laughs.
It’s not a long game either. With some board games that go on for too long, kids can get bored. However, this one takes between 10 and 30 minutes and you can keep playing if you want more laughs.
It’s ideal for family board game night or as a fun activity at a kids birthday party.
And you can also modify the game as well. One version is use your own family photos as the photo cards! This would be great for large family gatherings at Christmas especially if you pull out old family photos.
The game requires between 3 and 8 players as one person needs to be appointed judge. Best suited for kids for kids 8+ as they need to be able to comprehend a photo and read captions

In 2012, Reena founded Newy with Kids to share information about family-friendly Newcastle. Originally from Canada, she had no idea about what to do with her toddler and after searching unsuccessfully for a family guide, decided to start her own. Since that time, both the toddler and Newy with Kids have grown keeping Reena busy. If you see her out and about, say hi.
