There’s a new playground in Maryland to visit with your kids. City of Newcastle has recently refurbished the play space at Beauford Avenue Reserve in Maryland.
It’s not huge as it is a neighbourhood playground but there is enough to keep kids busy with a playground and half-court basketball area.
This small but inviting play area has all the essentials. Kids can climb across the spiderweb climbing net, climb up to the top and then slide down the twisty slide.
Little kids can use the stairs to climb up and slide down the toddler slide.
There’s also an in-ground trampoline which is fun for both kids and adults. Nothing better than bouncing around.
Next to that is a nest swing so kids can pile in for a swing session.
The playground is a mix of softfall and bark chips. There’s also a concrete paths to ensure everyone can access the facilities.
A new half-court playground has been added so that kids can play basketball. If no one is using it for basketball, it’s also a great spot for kids to rollerskate or learn how to ride a bike.
Around the playground you’ll see plenty of grass so bring a soccer ball and kick it around.
There’s sandstone seating around the playground and basketball court as well as a bench.
